I found this to be a ton of fun. Playing as a monster and destroying a city is fun no matter how old you are. The game really does shine when you play against a friend. It has a pretty stacked roster of monsters to play as so figuring out which one you like best is great. The visuals on offer in Godzilla: Save the Earth are a bit of a mixed bag.
I think that anyone who is familiar with this franchise is going to be able to instantly recognize the monsters. The animations are a tad on the stiff side, but it reminds me of watching the old Godzilla movies when I was a kid. The different cities all kind of look the same, but still smashing them up and using things like buildings as a weapon is awesome. The most disappointing thing about this game for me has to be the sound design. The music is just so quiet and outside of this game, I would not really care to hear it ever again.
Even the monster effects are on the quiet side. I am not sure what happened here, but the whole game is far too quiet which can take you out of it. This game just feels like it offers more and I like the slower deliberate pace of the monster battles.
